A self-catering holiday cottage, sleeping 4, in a quiet rural location a mile outside the small coastal town of
Newport, with it's good selection of restaurants, pubs and shops. The cottage is located within the Pembrokeshire National Park close to the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline. The Welsh name for Newport is Trefdraeth, which translated simply means 'beach town' and the cottage is situated between Newport town centre and the large expanse of Newport Sands or Traeth Mawr (Big Beach). Newport Links Golf Club, the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and the foot of Carn Ingli Mountain are all also around a mile away. Walking the coastal path and Preselli hills is very popular with our guests as is golfing, sailing and bird watching or you could just take it easy whilst the children play out in the game shed.
The cottage, originally a wing of the farm house, has been sympathetically renovated, maintaining the character of it's grade 2 listing status, whilst delivering the luxurious modern comforts expected in today's self-catering holiday accommodation. The accommodation is equipped to a high standard with everything you should need to enjoy your self catering Pembrokeshire holiday. To the front of the cottage is a small enclosed garden and to the rear a larger fenced garden with patio area, both of which are safe for young children. The games shed, with it's small selection of games and beach toys is a popular holiday favourite with older children, Unusual for cottages in Newport there is plenty of parking space for cars, with a covered area suitable for small boats, canoes etc. and a lockable shed for bikes. We welcome one well behaved dog, however due to the proximity to the working farm it must be kept on a lead at all times when outside the cottage.
